October 2006 - Crazy for you

This 1992 Tony Award winner for Best Musical is a classic song-and-dance show reminiscent of "42nd Street" and "Singin' in the Rain". It's a stylish, sassy, hilarious romantic comedy featuring a fantastic George and Ira Gershwin score, including "Someone to Watch Over Me," "I Got Rhythm," "They Can't Take That Away From Me" and "Embraceable You." Who could ask for anything more? An enjoyable show starting when a stage-struck New York playboy, Bobby Child, is sent to a small, poor town in Nevada to close down the local theatre. Soon Bobby falls in love with the theatre owner’s daughter, Polly. In order to save the theatre, he dreams up the idea to put on a show to raise money for the theatre. In the end, the town is reinvigorated, the theatre is saved and Bobby finds love.
